What are the odds of acquiring an ectopic pregnancy? What are the signs and symptoms?

I have this irrational worry of my Pregnancy staying ectopic. I never even know how it got into my head, honestly. My boyfriend and I have been making an attempt to get pregnant for the very first time, this month. So, to ease my thoughts… what are the odds of acquiring an ectopic Pregnancy rather than a standard a single? What are the symptoms? If you have ever had one particular, what was your experience?

I just want to halt worrying. If I do grow to be pregnant, I know that anxiety isn’t good.

I don’t know the odds, but some symptoms ate cramping and spotting. Unfortunately these are also pregnancy signs. I was so excited about my pregnancy, that I got that irrational fear too. I went to Lifeline pregnancy and got a free ultrasound that confirmed my baby was right where he was supposed to be. I’ve had a wonderful, healthy pregnancy, without any big complications.

Your odds of having an ectopic pregnancy increase with age and vaginal douching. Here’s more information:

hi :)

Im 22 weeks pregnant with my first and i had a suspected ectopic pregnancy,i had extremely bad cramping and kept passing out and i bled once so they took me into hospital but it turned out that the baby was fine.Once you hear that your baby is fine the worry fades away, its not irrational to feel the way you are feeling because it just sounds like you care so much!Don’t get me wrong im not gunna say that i have no worries now at all but its just natural to worry that the little life inside you is happy and well.Dont stress just chill, the chance of you having a beautiful healty baby are very high!

good luck in your quest for pregnancy!

if you have had previous pelvic surgery, an std, smoke, previous ectopic or for no reason at all you can have an ectopic. Symptoms are shoulder pain, sharp pain to one side (that can change sides) red bleeding (fill a pad within two hours) fainting or feeling faint and extreme dizziness.
Chances are rare though so it should not worry you.

I had an ectopic and one at 6 week I got a sharp pain in my side had to sit down and not move for a few hours. bled a little two days later (old blood)then felt really ill couple days later (like flu very faint, dizzy ) and bled alot more (red blood). Went to hospital to have surgery.
