Pregnant! Really confused about due date?

When we found out a few weeks ago that we were expecting, I just grabbed the first due date calculator that I found and was going by that date. . . but today I went back and double checked on a couple of other online calculators, and the dates I am getting vary by three weeks!

My last menstrual period started on April 28, 2009 but my cycles are really irregular. Here are the past few (first day of) cycle dates:
November 3, 2008
December 15, 2008
January 15, 2009
February 16, 2009
March 19, 2009
April 28, 2009

Does anyone know of a reliable way to calculate my cycle length? I am just using the average number of days. Also, is there an online Pregnancy calculator that you could recommend? I just think it would be great to know whether I am nine weeks or thirteen, and my first prenatal appointment isn’t for another few days yet. .

Thanks for your help!

A question about due date calculator?. . . . ?

My first day of my last period was December 27th 2009. When i went into my doctors to get a Pregnancy test like 1-2 months after i was pregnant and the doctor told me my due date will be October 3rd. After that they said it will be on the 4th, and then after that they said it will be on the 13th. I was on the internet checking up due date calculator and it said my due date would be on the 3rd of Oct. So i don’t get why my doctor keeps on changing it? Any advice on this that would be great thanks! Any other woman who went through this i would like to hear about it.

I just found out yesterday I am pregnant with our 4th little muffin. The OB office asked me on the phone as I was making my appt. when was my last period. Well, I had one Aug. 2nd and again August 26, which is VERY unusual for me. Could I possibly be further along, or am I 5 weeks, as is suggested on all the due date calculators on-line? Also, do most OB’s wait for you to be around 8 weeks to see you, or is it just my office???

When we first started down the baby-making path, we thought we’d be pregnant in no time. We’d just toss out our birth control pills and before we knew it, we’d be rocking our little one to sleep. Little did we know what was in store for us, or the energy it would take to face all of the crazy, unpredictable and (sometimes) irrational emotions we felt along the way. Neither did our husbands. Sound familiar?

  • If your idea of foreplay is screaming, “I’m ovulating; it’s time!!!” to your oblivious husband. . .
